This policy explains what information the AquaBalance Android app (“the app”) processes and why. The app is published by Denis Zolotar (Denis Air Tech) (“we”), who is responsible for it. AquaBalance is a hydration tracker for general wellness; it is not a medical device.
Profile values you enter (name or nickname — optional, sex, age, height, weight, activity level), water entries (amount and time), daily goals, reminder schedule, optional special-situation settings (a daily fluid amount set by your doctor that you enter yourself, the “weak sense of thirst” reminder option), a local record of your consent (Terms/Privacy version, date, language, the selected options and your confirmation that you are 18 or older), achievements, containers, language and app settings. This data is saved in the app’s private storage on your phone using Android SharedPreferences. It is not uploaded to us. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for the app, so this data is not copied to your Google backup; it is deleted when you uninstall the app or use “Delete all data” in the app.
If you enable “Health Connect sync”, the app asks only for permission to write hydration records (WRITE_HYDRATION). Each time you log water, a hydration record (volume and time) is written to Health Connect on your device. The app does not request read permissions and does not read any data from Health Connect. Data from Health Connect is not shared with third parties, not used for advertising, and not transferred anywhere. You can revoke the permission or delete the records at any time in the Health Connect app. The app’s use of information received from Health Connect complies with the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You may optionally mark the day as normal, hot or very hot. This only changes the on-device goal calculation; nothing is sent over the network. The choice resets each local calendar day. The app does not request location permission and does not call any weather API.
Reminders, the weekly summary and the Quick Settings tile / home-screen widget are generated locally on your device using Android notifications and alarms. No notification content is sent to any server. You can turn reminders and the weekly summary off in the app or in Android settings.
AquaBalance PRO is sold through Google Play (one-time purchase or subscription). Payment is handled entirely by Google; we do not receive your card or billing details. The app receives from Google Play only the status of your purchase (product ID, purchase state, purchase token) to unlock PRO, and caches “PRO active” on your device. Google’s privacy policy applies to the payment. Subscriptions can be cancelled in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
If you create a PDF water diary, it is generated on your device and shared only with the app or person you choose in the Android share sheet.
We do not sell or rent data, do not show ads, do not use advertising IDs, do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and do not create user accounts. We do not collect data in the background.
Data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual entries in the app, delete all app data via Android Settings → Apps → AquaBalance → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. Records already written to Health Connect can be deleted in the Health Connect app. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on a server; if you have questions, contact us at the address below.
The app is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children or minors under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app has no accounts and stores information only on the device.
Data is kept in the app’s private storage protected by the Android sandbox. The app does not send your profile, diary or heat choice to our servers. Internet access is used for Google Play Billing (purchases) and when you open an external link (privacy/terms) in the system browser.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Israeli Privacy Protection Law), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data. Since all data is on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the app or by clearing its data. You can also contact us.
We may update this policy; the effective date at the top will change and significant changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
